That's right, it's story time, get out your bag of popcorn and enjoy a heartwarming (somewhat) story.

So, I didn't even plan this or anything, but after having the news of possible cancer on here I thought it'd be nice to follow-up with more pleasant news.

So, I was at work the other day and this lady came into the store, she gave me a $100 bill and told me that she wanted $20 worth of gas in the pump next to her car outside. I said alright and started to put in the information for her. Then, out of the blue...and for some reason she told me that she didn't want any of the change back from it. Now, this lady was pretty young, about my age, she seemed like she knew precisely what she was doing and was lucid. I also knew that I wasn't going to be keeping this $80 in change that she didn't want to use. I also knew that the people I worked for would definitely not allow me to keep that kind of money, especially without her saying it was for me...so I'm not sure what she was hoping the money would go towards...

So, after she said that she almost immediately went out to her car. She went inside it and stayed there for awhile, then she drove off. She hadn't pumped any gas, she had simply left. She also never came back to ask for her money back or to get her car gassed up; nothing.

But after that happened, the next lady that came in I described what had transpired with the other lady and the hundred dollars worth of money/gas never used. After I was done with the story she asked me if the money was still on the pump. I hesitated for a bit, because I knew what she was getting at, but I said yes it was. She then asked if it was just free gas for anyone, that part made me stop and think about the situation, but eventually I just said: Yes, go ahead and get the gas. It's in the same spirit that I'm sure the other lady was intending that I did this, I think her intention was to 'Pay it forward,' she just didn't go about it that well.

I was really expecting her to take a picture, a youtube camera to come in, or for her to say just kidding or something, but those are just the events that happened while I was there. Seems like a pretty admirable thing to do, I'm glad I could help continue that for her too while letting that person know what exactly happened to make it possible.

I call this "Great Karma". She did something nice for you that you didn't expect.
You pass the Good Karma onto the next person that came into the store.
Hopefully that person pays a little forward to the next person that she meets.
That true story made me feel good inside knowing that there still are people
in our towns that keeps the good vibes going like a well oiled machine. :)
