Stairs dedication

The best part of this image, for me, is the varying light and dark shadows along the weathered wood grain. This is very beautiful and is captured nicely!
I was having a bit of trouble with the lower corner. MY preference is to have a tight framing to bring out the focus area on most photos. This can not be done since the angle of the camera makes it impossible to shot all the length of the porch and not get some of the back gate, land, and water in the frame.
However, on second glance, this corner is interesting. from a standard sized shot, it is not too distracting, and it gives meaning to the whole piece by giving a sense of place.

All in all a very interesting study in light and textures.
